Power Rangers (2017 Movie) – 6 inch Legacy Line

I had not realized that I was all the way back in February when I found the Pink Ranger and Alpha 5 for the Legacy Movie figures ( http://wp.me/pRvoW-Dm ). It was hard to get my hands on the figures at first, but now they are warming the pegs at all Toys R Us stores that I have been to.

But there is no time like the present to take a look at the rest of the team and the BAF of the Megazord.

Yellow Ranger:

She looks pretty good. She is a bit on the loose side, so she is hard to keep standing. I have had a lot of trouble with the Pink Ranger over the months, falling over and knocking over the rest of the Legacy figures.

Red, Blue, Black Rangers:

These three guys are basically the same, just with a different head sculpt. Pretty much how the rest of the Legacy line goes. The Red Ranger is the only figure in the series with an accessory. He comes with a sword. Unfortunate that he is the only one that gets something to hold.

But the details on them are really well done. There are a lot of textures that have been added, and the blue glowing color and the stripes of silver add to the overall appeal.

I do like how, even though the three are basically the same, the colors really make them stand apart.

This is a fine team. I am not in love with the overall reimagined look of the characters. I do like the potential that they bring to the Power Rangers as a whole.

Now onto the Megazord.

Megazord:

It is… just strange. What a weird robot. I think they went with an alien theme here that really hurt the overall appeal of the Zord.

Anyone who was looking to see a familiar face of some sort is not getting it this time around. And the feet… is this guy wearing robot slippers?

I will stick with my original Megazord, thank you very much.

Autobot Shuffler – Transformers: Generations – Titans Return (Titan Master)

Little Shuffler. A throwback to the Headmasters cartoon. Well almost. Shuffler was a toy back in 1987, but he was never in the show itself. He would transform from an elephant to a Headmaster.

The update for Titans Return is to give Shuffler a robot body, and give him an elephant vehicle. The vehicle looks a whole lot like Shuffler’s animal mode.

The robot mode of Shuffler looks a whole lot like Elephan, who actually did make it into the Headmasters cartoon. He worked alongside Leo, who of course turned into Battle Beasts in the US. Though a trimmed down version, he does have a lot of similarities to the Beastformer.

Shuffler’s elephant vehicle allows Shuffler to hide inside the body where he is well hidden. This vehicle is one of the larger Titan Master vehicles to allow a Titan Master to hide completely inside the vehicle.

The second mode is a tank. I like this mode a lot. It is funny to see the trunk turned into a cannon for the top of the turret. Shuffler rides on top, as may of the figures do on these smaller tanks.

The third mode is a gun. It is a bit of a strange gun. It has some power though. It looks to have 12 rocket launchers as well as two cannon ports. That is some good firepower.

Finally there is the head mode. This looks similar to that of the original Shuffler, but this new one is more streamlined, and a lot more menacing looking.

This is a great figure, with a fantastic vehicle. Great to have another good throwback figure to the original Headmaster line, and be able to link to both the toy line as well as the cartoon.

Marvel Legends Multi-Packs and Exlcusives

We are going to take a quick look at a few multi-packs that came out a few years ago.  I was not able to find them initially, but they were available in the secondary market (Amazon) for great deals.   They have been sitting on the floor way too long, and wanted to be let free to play.

Amazon Exclusive – Age of Ultron 4-Pack (2015)

This is the Amazon.com exclusive set from Age of Ultron. It contains a really large new mold of Thor, a retool of Black Widow, a new tool of Bruce Banner, and a retool of non-Legends Hawkeye. The set is okay. I really wanted to get my hands on a decent movie Thor, and of course the Bruce Banner. We have had Hulk, but this is the first time we get Bruce.

Black Widow is a fine figure. The colors on her outfit are kind of fun. They are not very movie accurate. She comes with a set of batons to break some bad guy heads. Hawkeye is the weakest of the set. It is clear that he was not a part of the Marvel Legends line originally. His face seems a bit smooshed, and the rest of his proportions are way off too. Not what we are used to with the Marvel Legends movie figures.

S.H.I.E.L.D. Three-Pack (2015) (Toys R Us Exclusive)

This is a fun set of great characters. We get Agent Coulson carrying his really big gun. He comes with two heads, the alternate head wearing sunglasses. They did a great job of capturing the likeness of Clark Gregg.
The second figure is Nick Fury. He comes clad in his black outfit and black trenchcoat. He comes with two handguns that have working holsters, one on the hip, and one on the chest. Then there is Maria Hill. She uses the Agent 13 body with a new head sculpt.

This is a great set to fill out some of the non-super powered characters in the MCU.

Infinite Three-Pack (2014)

This set, I found for a good deal on Amazon I think. It was a super sale, and I could not miss getting my hands on Ms. Marvel. And she does not disappoint.
She comes with Captain America, who I think is a reused version. And then there is Radioactive Man. We can’t have too many bad guys, and to have one that is opaque and glowing is pretty fun.
