Blurr – Transformers: Robots in Disguise

The Robots in Disguise line can be a bit hit and miss with the figures. Some are well done, while others seem rushed or cheapened in some way.

Blurr is on the high side of the line. He comes out of the box with a really good robot mode. He has really big shoulders that add to his Warrior Class height. The two-toned blue and white are a great combination.

I love that he is wearing a visor and a smirk. It is so subtle with just the corner curved up, but that is so Blurr.

The only backpack part he has is the canopy. Sometimes there are some major parts left behind on Transformers, but this one is not too bad. It is a fairly large section, but it is rounded, so it is not too bad. It also stops before it gets down to the knee, so there is some good articulation there. I actually prefer it staying as one section, as it plays a lot better in vehicle mode.

Speaking of vehicle mode, the transformation is super easy and straight forward, but the completed car does not look like it should have been so easy. The details are great. I imagine we could easily see this guy flying down the track at Le Mans.

His gun can be mounted in the ports on either side of the rear, just behind the back wheels, or on the roof. None of them are ideal, since the gun sticks out so far, and kind of looks silly, but it is better to be able to stick it somewhere, than it just floating around in the collection.

I was really surprised and happy with Blurr. I am a big fan of Blurr, and we have had a few versions recently. I really liked the 2010 version that was a repaint of Drift. Then more recently we got him again in the Titans Returns line in his Cybertron vehicle mode. This is a good version to add to the collection.
