Leading up to the holidays it seems that all toys go through a sale of some sort, usually to get rid of old stock. Then the holidays pass, and people have money of gift cards to spend, so the new toys come out to fill the shelves. It is no different with Power Rangers. We are starting to see the Dino Super Charge figures hit the shelves and pegs. We got a little look before the holidays with the T-Rex Super Charge Morpher, and some of the new Chargers, but the figures were still not out. They are out, they look good, and I found a nice cross section to look at what we have to look forward to now.
I love the color of the new Purple Ranger. She is so bright. Pretty much the Pink Ranger with a new head sculpt, but that is what we generally get with the Rangers in this line.
She comes with the green sword and morpher. As with the rest of the Rangers, the morpher can be attached to her hip. She can hold it much better in her left hand than her right.
He has what is probably the most detailed head sculpt of any of the 9 Rangers out now. You can see all of the skin texture of the dino imprinted in his helmet.
I love the gold/copper color across his chest. It adds a lot to the outfit, and separates him from the other Rangers.
He comes with the standard sword and morpher. I wish one of these guys would come with the sword/morpher combo.
Dino Steel Pink Ranger:
Shelby is the second most figure I own in the in the Dino Charge series, after Red Ranger. This version of Pink Ranger comes with the right arm in Dino Steel form, or extra armor plates down the arm. Add to that the Tricera Drill, and she looks great.
Unless they come up with some other variations, the next version we will see will be the Dino Super Drive, but I am guessing we will not see that for a little while since we are getting the Dino Super Charge marketing, but the Dino Charge show hasn’t even ended yet. Seems a little backwards to me, but I will just sit back and enjoy what is coming our way.
T-Rex Super Charge Red Ranger:
Tyler gets another upgrade. This was a surprise to no one that walks down the toy aisle at Toys R Us. The T-Rex Super Charge Zord hit the shelves before Christmas, so it was only a matter of time before the figure showed up in the store too.
He is a bit more robust than the other figures in the line. He has some amazing paint apps this time around. I am really excited to see him in the show in this form.
He comes with the T-Rex Super Charge Zord in blaster mode. It is all red, and does not show the vast colors that the actual blaster has, but that is typical for this line.
Next season’s bad guy. He is a really scary looking dude. Still totally over the top in Japanese design, and we wouldn’t want it any other way.
He has quite a bit for a villain. He movement in his arms (shoulders, elbows), legs (hips), and head (neck swivel). His shoulder pads move up and down like the Rangers to allow for good movement in the shoulder joint. He comes with a sword that matches the color of his armor. The details on the costume are really well done.
We now have a huge variety of Rangers. This is no simple repaint from here on out. We have standard Rangers, Dino Drive Rangers, Dino Steel Rangers, Gold Ranger, T-Rex Super Charge Red Ranger. This is getting pretty fun, and looks fantastic on the shelf.
